Frame materials
Cellulose Acetate

The vast majority of plastic frames are made of this material. Metal bars are added inside the plastic leg sides to strengthen and stabilise the frame.

Monel

Most metal frames are made from Monel. It is composed of 2/3 nickel and 1/3 copper. Monel can be made in many colours,it is corrosion resistant and durable. However because of the nickel content within the frame not advisable for people who have allergic skin types.

Titanium

Developed mainly for 2 reasons. Firstly very lightweight but strong and secondly because of unreactive properties of the metal Titanium excellent for customers with sensitive skin as will not react or discolour due to acid content in ones skin.

Flexon

A metal Titanium alloy which has a built in memory so when frame is twisted out of shape memory makes frame go back to its original shape.
